Delahunt Kitchen

This kitchen was expertly designed by KBL Kitchen and Bath Designs by Leah. The project began with a full demolition down to the studs, removing drywall to accommodate necessary electrical upgrades. The old tile flooring and a layer of the subfloor were also removed to prepare for the new design. While the kitchen footprint remained largely the same, strategic changes were made to enhance functionality and style. The refrigerator was relocated to the opposite side of the room, and a custom "sideboard cabinet," as described by the designer, was added for additional storage and visual appeal. Key elements such as the sink, cooktop, and double oven cabinet stayed in similar positions.

The laundry room was also part of this renovation, featuring wall-to-wall upper cabinets above the washer and dryer, along with a pull-out cabinet for organizing laundry essentials.

The cabinetry selections featured a two-tone shaker design, with taller upper cabinets extending to the ceiling for maximum storage. Unique features included under-counter drawer cabinets for improved accessibility and a seamless countertop-to-backsplash design using Valiant Sahara quartz. Electrical outlets and all but one light switch were hidden beneath the upper cabinets for a clean, minimalist look.

A sleek black induction cooktop and a stainless-steel designer wall-mounted hood with dimmable LED lighting added modern sophistication. Stainless steel appliances, including a built-in combination convection microwave/wall oven, refrigerator, faucet, hardware, and dishwasher, provided a cohesive and contemporary finish.

The quartz countertops and backsplash were supplied, fabricated, and installed by World Stone. To match the existing hardwood on the first level, new hardwood flooring was installed, sanded, and finished to blend seamlessly with the rest of the home.

Ample lighting was added with the installation of six flat puck-style LED ceiling lights, ensuring the kitchen is both functional and beautifully illuminated.


Full House Remodel

This whole-house remodel project involved a comprehensive renovation, including the demolition of the kitchen and a Jack-and-Jill bathroom. The bathroom was completely stripped down to the floor joists, with several requiring replacement.

As part of the renovation, we designed and installed a brand-new kitchen with updated flooring, two vanity rooms with toilets, and a tub-shower room featuring frameless glass, all with new flooring. Throughout the house, all light fixtures were removed and replaced with modern installations. The existing hardwood floors in the remaining rooms were sanded, stained, and finished with a durable polyurethane coat.

Additional upgrades included replacing the front door, two interior doors, and six closet doors with new bypass hardware, as well as installing new hardware on all doors. The entire interior and exterior of the house were repainted. We also installed all-new windows and wrapped the exterior with aluminum for enhanced durability. The gutters were removed, new fascia and soffit were installed, and the gutters were replaced.

Furthermore, a new brick masonry chimney was constructed on the back porch, which also underwent a significant facelift. The crawlspace was thoroughly cleaned, and a new vapor barrier was installed to improve the home’s structural integrity and efficiency.

When Conservation Renovations Inc. was awarded this project, the homeowner had already completed much of the initial demolition. The drywall had been removed from walls and ceilings, windows and two primary egress doors were replaced, and most flooring had been cleared except in the kitchen, sunroom, and utility room, which we demoled.

One key challenge involved removing the existing wall insulation to address and upgrade aluminum wiring to meet current code requirements. All electrical wiring was replaced, a new service panel installed, and modern HVAC ducts and vents were set up, along with a new AC unit. Plumbing was largely reused, except for a reconfiguration in the full bath, where concrete was cut to accommodate a redesigned shower layout and better toilet positioning.

The rebuild began with the installation of new drywall, expertly finished and painted. Both bathrooms were beautifully reconstructed:
•	Main Bath: Features included new tile flooring, a tile shower with a frameless glass enclosure, a modern toilet, and a vanity with a quartz countertop, undermount sink, and sleek faucet.
•	Half Bath: Upgraded with tile flooring, a modern toilet, and a matching vanity setup with quartz countertop and undermount sink.

The kitchen was transformed with all-new NKBC cabinetry, stunning quartz countertops, an undermount sink, garbage disposal, and faucet. Bespoke Samsung appliances added a premium touch. Durable tile flooring extended through the kitchen, dining room, sunroom, and utility room. Craftsman-style trim was installed for baseboards, doors, and windows, while three-panel interior doors with bronze hardware added timeless elegance. Homeowners chose cozy carpet flooring for the living room and bedrooms, enhancing warmth and comfort.

An electric fire simulation unit was seamlessly installed into the existing masonry fireplace, creating a charming focal point.

All work was completed on time and exactly as the homeowner envisioned, delivering a beautifully modernized and fully functional living space.

KBL Kitchen and Bath Designs by Leah – Kitchen Remodel Overview

This kitchen remodel was a complete transformation, beginning with a total demolition. We removed a wall between the kitchen and living room to create an open-concept space and eliminated the existing center island, which housed the cooktop. Additionally, the pantry under the stairs was removed, and a short wall was pushed back to allow the refrigerator to be positioned at counter depth. This adjustment also created space for a new floor-to-ceiling pantry.

To accommodate updated lighting and switches, much of the drywall was removed and replaced for new electrical wiring. The plumbing for the old sink was eliminated, and new plumbing was installed for the island sink and dishwasher. When the old island was removed, sections of the hardwood flooring were missing, requiring us to seamlessly integrate new hardwood planks, sand the entire floor, and refinish it for a cohesive look.

The cabinetry selection featured classic white shaker-style cabinets. Under the staircase, we converted a previously unused space into a coffee nook with a floating shelf. On the opposite side of the island, we created an additional built-in storage nook with wall sconces above for added functionality and aesthetic appeal.

A new 44” x 96” island was constructed, incorporating a Ruvati kitchen sink workstation, dishwasher, and pull-out garbage bin. The opposite side of the island was designed as a seating area, with additional storage cabinets installed under the counter at one end.

Along the exterior wall, we installed a built-in under-counter microwave, a slide-in range with an oven, and a stainless-steel vent hood that vents to the outside. The wall cabinets were extended to the ceiling for a more streamlined and spacious design.

The countertops were crafted from Calcuta Leon quartz, offering a timeless and elegant look, while the backsplash featured classic white subway tiles to enhance the bright and modern aesthetic.

This remodel successfully blended functionality with a contemporary design, maximizing storage and efficiency while creating a beautiful, open, and inviting kitchen space.

At Conservation Renovations Inc. we take pride in bringing our customers' ideas to life. This particular project is especially meaningful, as it’s with a repeat client for whom we previously completed a master bath and a half bath last year.

The kitchen design and plans were provided by Kitchen and Bath Design by Leah LLC. We made several thoughtful adjustments to the layout to better meet the homeowner’s needs. The refrigerator was relocated to create space for a new coffee bar, and it was moved to what was once a pantry closet, with additional cabinetry installed beside it. At the far end of the kitchen, where no cabinetry existed previously, we added a floor-to-ceiling pantry bank. To enhance functionality, the stove was repositioned along the same wall as the sink, and a range hood was installed, beautifully encased to match the new cabinetry.

Master bathroom, WIC addition, and whole house remodel. We enlarged the hall bath by removing the wall between it and the half bath master bath. (60s style). The wall between the utility room and the storage area, access by an out side door, was removed and the floor raised to the level of the office area. With this we created a larger utility/laundry/mudroom adjacent to the office area. New hardwoods in the kitchen/dinning area to match the rest of the house. A new kitchen was added with a beautiful island. Unfortunately some of these photos are out of sequence, but Facebook makes it very difficult to edit this aspect of the album.

In this project we totally gutted the Master bathroom, and built a new freestanding shower with frameless glass shower enclosure. A new soaking tub, replaced the old drop in style bath tub. In addition, we added new tile flooring, vanity cabinets with quarts top and undermount sinks, new framed mirror, new vanity and can lighting, exhaust fan,  and added a linen cabinet in the W/C area, along with a new toilet.

This project will be a total gut and rebuild project. With total demo completed we will start the rebuild with enlarging the master closet to about half of the total space. We will gain some extra room by removing a linen closet in the hall that presently back up to this area. The other half of the space will accommodate the master bath which will include a new frameless glass enclosed shower (3'x5'). slight relocation of commode, new vanity area.

Project was a total gut and remodel, removing tub, shower, vanity, and flooring. We added a beautiful new shower with a frameless glass enclosure, new plank flooring, vanities with undermount sinks, two new mirrors, lighting, exhaust fan, and linen area.

Almost a total gut, leaving the drywall, but removed tub tile surround, toilet, vanity, tile floor, and vanity light. We are installing a new Kohler tub with subway tile surround which will extend out behind the toilet and vanity. The floor will be white penny porcelain mosaic. We will be adding a half panel frameless glass to enclose the tub shower.

Lininger Deck rebuild

This was almost a complete deck tear down and replace. We removed all the deck boards on this 27'x30' deck with a 11'x20' covered portion, and all the railings. The framing structure was in bad shape, so we had to reframe all the front portion (30'x16'), which included removing and replacing two 16' girders, and adding a 2b'x12" ban board around the entire outside. the 10'x10' back portion needed to be reframed to accommodate running the deck boards in the same direction as the front portion. Once we removed the deck boards from the covered portion of the deck we discovered a few framing issues we needed to address before re decking with 2x6 material.

We did a total gut of this 1960 era masterbthroom, borrowing some space from two neighboring closets to enlarge the bathroom, adding a bigger more spacious shower. relocated to commode to a more secluded location, and really opening up the space. We also remove a window from the masterbedroon and put a full glass egress door which leads to a private paver patio.
