When Conservation Renovations Inc. was awarded this project, the homeowner had already completed much of the initial demolition. The drywall had been removed from walls and ceilings, windows and two primary egress doors were replaced, and most flooring had been cleared except in the kitchen, sunroom, and utility room, which we demoled.

One key challenge involved removing the existing wall insulation to address and upgrade aluminum wiring to meet current code requirements. All electrical wiring was replaced, a new service panel installed, and modern HVAC ducts and vents were set up, along with a new AC unit. Plumbing was largely reused, except for a reconfiguration in the full bath, where concrete was cut to accommodate a redesigned shower layout and better toilet positioning.

The rebuild began with the installation of new drywall, expertly finished and painted. Both bathrooms were beautifully reconstructed:

• Main Bath: Features included new tile flooring, a tile shower with a frameless glass enclosure, a modern toilet, and a vanity with a quartz countertop, undermount sink, and sleek faucet.

• Half Bath: Upgraded with tile flooring, a modern toilet, and a matching vanity setup with quartz countertop and undermount sink.

The kitchen was transformed with all-new NKBC cabinetry, stunning quartz countertops, an undermount sink, garbage disposal, and faucet. Bespoke Samsung appliances added a premium touch. Durable tile flooring extended through the kitchen, dining room, sunroom, and utility room. Craftsman-style trim was installed for baseboards, doors, and windows, while three-panel interior doors with bronze hardware added timeless elegance. Homeowners chose cozy carpet flooring for the living room and bedrooms, enhancing warmth and comfort.

An electric fire simulation unit was seamlessly installed into the existing masonry fireplace, creating a charming focal point.

All work was completed on time and exactly as the homeowner envisioned, delivering a beautifully modernized and fully functional living space.
